What we believe

We strongly believe that the truth of the Gospel applied to every area of society - Family, Church, Education, Media, Celebration (art, entertainment, sport) Business (which starts with innovations in science and technology, productivity, sales, and service) and Government is the only way to transform a nation. Only Christian values and principles based on godly truth will be the way to walk into the inheritance that Nations have in the kingdom of God.
We want to work on it with the joint effort of those who already are doing it and with those who will want to start.

Staff

Luigi and Paola Tommasi (YWAM Milano leaders)

with our three kids Filippo, Stefania and Tommaso.
Luigi worked as professional chef for more than 15 years in restaurants and hotels in Milan. Paola worked for about 10 years in the tourist industry.
Luigi become a follower of Christ in 1980 and Paola in 1995.
In 1999 we got to know ywam Italy and in the 2002 we did our DTS in England. Since that we started to work with ywam Italy first and ywam England later.
In August 2008 we are going to pioneer a ywam operating location in Milan. This is the fulfilment of a vision and desire that we believe God gave us since 1999.

Emily Saylor 

from Eugene, Oregon. I'm excited to co-lead the DTS this fall and be a part of the team pioneering YWAM-Italy. I worked in a B&B for 10 years and felt a calling for my life to minister to people who have a spiritual impact on nations, like Pastors and Missionaries. I want to develop a mobile team to visit, encourage, and counsel on the field, and to one day have a retreat center in Italy where they can come to rest and encounter the Lord in a beautiful restful environment with Biblical hospitality.

David and Debbie Alexander

We have been involved with missions most of our lives. We have served in USA, Mexico, Jamaica and Italy. This is a return for us to Italy after serving here in the 1980’s. We were saved during the Jesus Movement in the 1970’s, so our heart is to see a revival among the youth of Italy and to see them brought into the world evangelism force.

Our dream would be a ministry center focusing on the students and youth of Milan. At this center would be a coffee bar, artistic expression in music and paint, a student outreach, and retreat location.

Tiina Stenberg

I love God, the nations and arts.

I'm a Finn and did my DTS here in Italy. After I have been studying, working and sharing Jesus in England, Australia, Thailand, etc. Now I hope to work long term in this nation to see God becoming real to Italians and all other people groups who live in Milano.

 Andrea Gatti  

My name is Andrea Gatti I'm Italian and I'm part of the YWAM-Milano  team, where I did My DTS.
After my DTS I did a SOW ( school of worship ) In the Montana YWAM base, and then I rejoined the team in Milan, after I got married with Rachel.
I love Jesus and my dream is to see real worshippers that lift up Gods name, to see people that seek His face , see people that want to see His glory come down on Earth.
Part of this dream is to have a school where artists can develop there artistic giftings and at the same time develop the spiritual aspect of worship.
According to me, I love God, I love his children but I hate religiosity and anything that gets between God and His people.

Rachel Gatti

Born and reared in west tennessee, USA. I came to Italy in 2009 for first Milano DTS. It changed my life in more ways than one - my spiritual life exploded and I ended up marrying one of my classmates! I am excited to see God's Kimgdom become a reality in Italy and to be used for His glory here in Milano. I love Jesus, my husband, baking, and having fun with all three. I do not like religiosity or borin lectures. 

Tanya Pivovarova

My dream is to see Business Professionals to step out of their comfort zone and become missionaries at their workplaces, circles of influence. I believe by equipping Italian Business Professionals and sending them out into the world to preach the Gospel to the nations through their businesses, the impact would become greater than we can even imagine!

I am from Kazakhstan and I have been ministering to Business Professionals for many years. I did my DTS in the US.
